Technique:Mienaku as no unique techniques Allies Yogo Yonaka... yes I know... she considers herself his enemy... he doesn't share that point of view. In fact he would gladly abandon his Clan if he thought doing so would earn her forgiveness... and that's a big deal for a Scorpion! Physical Description: Shiba Mienaku stands at 5'3" and has long, white hair (her mother was a Crane) and blue eyes. She typically wears a simble grey kimono with a black obi. Fancy clothing "annoys" her as she has told Yonaka before. Now that she has sworn a blood feud against her former fiance, she can frequently be found wearing light red armor... despite the fact that Rokugan is not at war (unless your campaign is set during the Clan Wars... in which case...) History: Shiba Mienaku's life was just about perfect. She had been assigned to be yojimbo to her beloved older brother, who had been chosen to become a librarian at the Asako libraries... talk about cushy jobs. The worst she had to protect him from was paper cuts! That's when she met Yogo Yonaka. He was a sort of "exchange student" from the Yogo family of the Scorpion-- he was to study the less secret magicks of the Phoenix with Yusuke there to insure that he didn't delve to deeply into that which he wasn't supposed to find out. Yonaka was a strange man... speaking only when spoken to and he was frightfully awkward around her. It was... cute... in a way. And blatantly obvious to both Mienaku and Yusuke. The Scorpion, supposed master of deception, was doing a terrible job at concealing his crush on Mienaku. Yusuke decided to play matchmaker with the two. He sent each a letter, requesting a game of Go that night. Both of them showed up and Yusuke was no where to be found. The two ended up playing each other long into the night, and by morning Mienaku had seen Yonaka's face, had seen his shadowbrand scorch his skin as the sun rose. Yonaka told her everything... about his responsibilies as one of the Twelve, Scorpion loyalty, and what the purpose of the shadowbrand was. In turn, Mienaku revealed her own secrets to him and the two swore to keep silent until the sun and moon themselves fell.... For the rest of Mienaku's history, refer to Yonaka's history. Advantages: Benten's Blessing, Kharmic Tie (Yogo Yonaka), Elemental Attunement, Allies/True Friend (even though she's trying to kill him... Yonaka would do ANYTHING for Mienaku) Disadvantages: True Love (Yogo Yonaka), Lost Love (Shiba Yusuke... her brother), Soft Hearted Special Equipment:Mienaku's Daisho: Her daisho was a gift from her brother and has enourmous sentimental value. North Star: The katana of her daisho has a crystal imbedded within the blade. This causes the blade to burn all Goju and Shadowlands creatures merely by touching them.
